Welcome to BoardContest.com (the “Site”). We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), Title 17, United States Code, Section 512(c), copyright owners or their authorized agents may submit a takedown notice for alleged copyright infringement.
As an internet service provider, Board Contest qualifies for the DMCA’s “safe harbor” protections when responding properly to valid infringement notices.
DMCA Notice of Alleged Infringement
To submit a good-faith copyright infringement claim, please provide the following information:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or an authorized representative
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material, including the specific URL(s) so we can locate it
- Your contact information, including name, physical address, email address, and telephone number
- A statement confirming that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement that the information provided is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
Important Notice:
Under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), any person who knowingly misrepresents material facts in a DMCA notice may be subject to civil liability, including damages, costs, and attorney’s fees.
Submission of DMCA Notices
All DMCA takedown notices should be submitted through our Contact page.
Email submission is recommended for faster processing.
Please be aware that we may share the information provided in a copyright complaint—including your identity—with the party alleged to have infringed the content. By submitting a notice, you consent to this disclosure.
Counter-Notification (Restoration of Content)
If your content has been removed due to a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was the result of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification pursuant to 17 U.S.C. §512(g)(3).
- Your counter-notification must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the removed material and its original location before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed due to error or misidentification
- Your name, address, and telephone number
- A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal district court in your judicial district (or any district in which we may be found if you are outside the U.S.)
Counter-notifications should be submitted through our Contact page, and email is strongly recommended.
Repeat Infringer Policy
Board Contest takes copyright infringement seriously. In compliance with the DMCA, we maintain records of infringement notices and make a good-faith effort to identify repeat infringers. Users who repeatedly violate our copyright policies may have their accounts terminated.
